First of all, there are some negatives to the AMS Seal, but those are mainly because of SOME of the people who have been "grandfathered". But, as you know, anonymous, the AMS Seal requires a certain amount of Atmospheric Science coursework that most NWA only sealholders do not even come close to having. Yes, the NWA Seal requires a test, but, after completing ATM 100 at SUNY Albany, I could have passed that. OK, lets get this straight...the gripe with MSU is not with the MSU Meteorology program, but with the OFF-CAMPUS Correspondance program. Go to school, work hard get your degree. And as far as anonymous' assumption regarding the potential for lack of responses; most people do not enjoying having conversations with those who remain nameless. It is like talking to a wall or a coward. I'll take you on in your forecasting contest anyday. I am sure that my fellow SUNY Albany grads will be happy to join me.
