Good question. Most who have it feel they are part of a select club and believe only they can predict the weather. Those without it feel left out and yes, while many are no more than actors working in the craft others have worked long and hard at it without ever obtaining a Seal. Are we really better or worse? Another good question.

But, I have worked with some of the best. Troy Dungan in Dallas does not have a Seal but in my opinion is one of the best television forecasters anywhere. I think experience means a lot.

I look at it like a drivers license. Anyone can get one, but who really knows how to drive a car?. Better drivers come with experience and weathercasting really isn't much different.

Just my opinion.
